Junior Newsroom: Greenscreen & Video Editing Camp - Half Day (7-9)

In this BRAND NEW program each student becomes the creator of their very own TV news report! They’ll record their own news segment in front of a greenscreen, add a selection of clips from an archive of custom-made videos, customise their scripts and learn critical editing skills to make the final video all with our guidance.

**Don’t forget to bring a USB to save all your child’s hard work and take their unique news video home!

Video Production Skills Covered:

The students will learn essential video skills using professional editing techniques, including:

• Importing and Organizing Clips – Select and import their favorite video clips to build their news story.

• Green Screen Editing – Add custom backgrounds to make their stories come alive.

• Cutting and Ordering Clips – Arrange footage to create a smooth and engaging flow.

• Text and Titles – Add captions, titles, and overlays to enhance storytelling.

• Sound Adjustments – Edit audio levels to make voices clear and balanced.

• Adding Music and Effects – Select background music and sound effects for impact.

Soft Skills Developed:

The students will also develop important soft skills through this independent project-based format, including:

• Creative Problem Solving – Work through editing challenges and refine their ideas.

• Critical Thinking – Choose clips and editing techniques that enhance each story.

• Self-Expression – Record their own unique narration and develop a personal style.

Equipment Provided:

All necessary equipment is provided, so kids can jump right into production:

• PC, editing software, recording device, lighting, and green screen setup

(No equipment is necessary; everything is provided, so there’s no need for any additional gear.)
