Dive into the exciting world of game development with our Unity Game Development Camp! This teacher-led camp guides students through the basics of the Unity engine to create their very own Ball Racer Game.

Students will:
  • Design their own level
  • Apply forces to make their player move around a dynamic environment
  • Use textures for their own character
  • Build a title screen and scoreboard with a professional-looking UI (user interface)
  • Add looping music and sound effects to their game for an immersive experience

Coding Skills in Unity:

In addition to design and gameplay elements, kids will learn fundamental coding concepts using C# in Unity, including:
  • Variables – Storing and using data.
  • Vectors – Managing positions and directions.
  • If Statements – Adding logic and decision-making to their game.
  • Player Input – Making the game interactive and responsive.
  • Methods – Organizing and reusing code.
  • Collision Detection – Making objects interact realistically.
